Where can I pick up the Hong Kong Airport Private Transfer? The Complete Guide to Landing to Rendezvous

When picking up passengers from the airport by private MPV for the first time, many people didn’t know where the driver was waiting. Hong Kong Airport has two terminals and more than one exit. Knowing it in advance can save a lot of time.

Hong Kong Airport has T1 (Passenger Terminal 1) and**

T2 (Passenger Terminal 2). Most flights use T1. T2 is currently mainly used by some low-cost airlines and specific airlines.

The terminal will be indicated on your ticket or flight information. If you are unsure, check the signs after landing.

T1 Arrival Hall:

Located on the T1 ground level (L5), just walking from the baggage claim area. There are two exit directions after going out:

• Exit A: Close to the Airport Express and subway station
• Exit B: Near the bus stop and taxi pick-up area**

T2 Arrival Hall:

Passengers arriving at T2 currently need to take the shuttle bus or corridor to T1 to go through immigration formalities, and finally exit at the T1 arrivals hall.

After the reservation is confirmed, we will tell the driver which exit to wait with a sign (usually T1 Exit A or B, depending on your flight arrangement).

The driver will hold a sign with your name written on it, both in Chinese and English, and stand in the waiting area outside the exit.

If you don’t see the driver immediately after you come out:

1. Don’t go far, wait where you are for 1–2 minutes
2. Contact the driver directly via WhatsApp (the driver’s WhatsApp number will be given to you after the appointment is confirmed)
3. Tell the driver which exit you are standing at and the driver will come over

1. Landing → Turn on your mobile phone to see if there is a confirmation message from the driver
2. Immigration → Go through customs at the Hong Kong Immigration Hall (Hong Kong residents go through the electronic channel, foreigners go through the manual counter)
3. Baggage claim → Look at the display to find the baggage carousel for the corresponding flight
4. Exit the arrival hall → When you go out and see the waiting area, look for the driver holding the sign
5. Confirm Identity → The driver will check your name and help you push your luggage to the car
6. Get in the car and set off

From landing to meeting the driver, it takes 30-45 minutes if everything goes well. Picking up your luggage is the most time-consuming part.

The driver will wait from the actual landing time of your flight:

• Come out within 60 minutes after landing: normal, no waiting fee
• More than 60 minutes: Usually it is because the baggage pickup time is too long or there is a queue at immigration. We will contact you to confirm the situation.

If your luggage is lost or delayed, inform the driver promptly and he will wait for you to handle it before setting off.

After the appointment is completed, we will send you:

• Driver name and WhatsApp number
• Exit (A or B) where the driver is waiting
• License plate number
• Instructions for pick-up sign styles

Just look for this exit after landing.
