Regulatory requirements for child seats
Hong Kong:
Hong Kong law requires that children under the age of 3 must use a child restraint device (i.e. a child seat) suitable for their size in a private car. Children aged 3–11 years or under 1.35 meters tall must use a seat or safety belt assist device.
Mainland (Guangdong Province):
The Road Traffic Safety Act stipulates that children under 4 years old must use safety seats. It is also recommended for those over 4 years old but less than 1.2 meters tall.
Practical advice: Regardless of age, as long as the child's height is less than 1.35 meters, a child seat should be used. This is the safest approach for the child and complies with the regulations in both places.

Where to install the child seat?
Child seats can be installed in both the second row (airline seats) and the third row of Toyota Alphard.
Recommended to be installed in the middle of the third row or near the window:
- The second row of aviation seats has many functions and the adjustment space is limited after the child seat is installed.
- The third row has stable space and more secure installation
If you are traveling with multiple children who need to install seats, please indicate the number when making the reservation and we will confirm the space in the car.

Precautions for excessive attention in children
You need to leave the vehicle on the Shenzhen side, and your children must also leave the vehicle and walk across the border together, and cannot stay in the car.
Practical suggestions:
- Place your child's ID (Hong Kong and Macau pass or passport) in advance in the bag where it is most easily accessible.
- If the child is sleeping, wake him up and hold him for a walk. checkpoint staff have seen many such situations and will not make things difficult.
- The baby can be carried through, and the stroller can be placed in the car and used after passing the customs.

Space arrangement for luggage and child seats traveling together
The child seat itself takes up a seat and does not affect the trunk luggage space. However, if you are bringing a stroller at the same time, you need to explain in advance:
- Folding stroller (lightweight): can be placed in the trunk without affecting luggage
